bridging text and context of count that day lost - correction
bridging text and context:
A. This poem relates to Eliot's poem by saying that if we spend time correctly and know how to balance time and organize it, we could do a lot of things and get the most of a day. It reflects the issues that Eliot wrote about , by saying in the poem that everything has a time of its own and we have to know how to spend it correctly and make sure we do it right because if we don't know how to do everything on time , we won't be able to do the all things we wanted to do and that day will be considered a day "worse than lost"
B.
The previous page gives us information about Eliot's life and how she managed to write poems even though she was a female that lived in a chauvinist society that didn't accept female as equal to men.
Eliot was Mary Ann Evans's pen name and she used it because the time she lived in wasn't thrilled about women go to work and certainly not possessing the literature subjects. Women's work was to be at home raising the children and taking care of their husband when he returns from work.
Moreover the previous page shows us that the way society treated to women didn't stop her from do what she liked, to be a poet. she knew that society won't even look at her work just because she is a woman, so she wort poems with a male's pen name, that way she could write poems and to the thing she liked most without getting humiliat attitude and disrespectfrom society.
to sum up, The previous page add to my understanding of the poem that Eliot wasn't like other women back then, she didn't gave up her dream just because society told her to. she found a way to the thing she liked, writing poems, and make sure society won't find out that thosepoem were written by a women.
