Bridging Text And Context - as i grew older

Bridging Text And Context
P-54

Langston Hughes was an African – American writer and a poet.  His writing express(gr.) pride in blackness(ww.-being black). Hughes was a leading figure in the African – American artistic movement that(מיותר) called the Harlem Renaissance. It's members believed that through art, literature and music, African – Americans  could challenge racial stereotypes and bring about racial equality and integration. The information is reflected by telling us that the poet was (a) leading figure (in the) movement who tried to settle the disputes between the black and white people.- how is it reflected in the poem?

It helped me understand better the poem by understanding that the poet's writing express(gr.) pride in black people which shows us when(phr.) he chooses to use his dark hands to break the wall that (is) blocking him from his dream.
